Kaizen Corsa Imports
Bespoke sourcing

Tell us the car.
We will go and get it.

Around thirty thousand cars cross the block at Japanese auction every week. Somewhere in there is the exact specification you have been holding out for. We find it, inspect it, buy it and bring it home — for a fee agreed before we start.

Is it legal to import?

Both rules run from the month a car was built, not its model year. Enter the build date and see both markets at once.

USA

Eligible now

Cleared the 25-year rule in May 2024.

Canada

Eligible now

Cleared the 15-year rule in May 2014.

The United States exempts vehicles 25 years old from FMVSS and EPA requirements; Canada exempts vehicles 15 years old from the RIV programme. Both are measured from the month of manufacture. This is general guidance, not customs advice — confirm with CBP or CBSA before committing to a purchase.

The process

From your message to your driveway

Eight to twelve weeks, typically. Here is every stage, and what we do at each one.

01

Tell us what you want

The model, the trim, the colour, the mileage ceiling and your budget. The more specific you are, the better we hunt. If you are not sure exactly what you want, we will talk it through.

02

We search the auctions

We have access to every major Japanese auction house — USS, TAA, JU, Arai and the rest. Between them, roughly 30,000 cars cross the block each week. We watch for yours and send you every candidate with the auction sheet translated.

03

Inspected before we bid

When a car looks right, we put an inspector on it in person. Photographs of every panel, the underside, the engine bay and the interior. Only then do we agree a maximum bid with you.

04

We win it and ship it

We settle with the auction house, handle export deregistration, transport it to port and book roll-on roll-off freight. Typically four to six weeks on the water.

05

Cleared, complied, delivered

We file the customs entry and federal paperwork, settle the duty, arrange the inspection your market requires, and deliver the car to you titled and road legal.
